What’s your plans for today? I was going to do some garden painting but my back is broken so am in a bath with a face mask on watching @trinnywoodall fashion videos. Trying hard not to drop my phone in the bath 💦 🛀 💦 Plan is now to listen to podcasts. Maybe some gentle yoga. And coffee. And then a breathwork class at 11. All while utterly high on painkillers 🤪🤪🤪 Maybe a spot of random internet shopping. It sounds oddly like a pleasant day to me! Just wish I could hire someone to virtually do my painting for me - wouldn’t that be the dream?.

Remember when I thought it was a good idea to jump into the sea on New Years Eve? Well @aiswing was searching the #seaswim hashtag and found me. She turned my moment into her art. Last night, I had a virtual gong bath with one of my besties - she's living with her parents as she is considered high risk. We lit candles and sprinkled essential oils around. Do you know what, it was bloody lush. After we were all zen and had good gossip afterwards. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have taken the time out before the world was melting. So there are always positives.
In other news, can you help me? I'm in the market for a new rug. See that stain?? Well the culprit is siting on the sofa avoid eye contact with us. Pop any suggestions on where to look below. I'm all about the internet shopping these days. I really like the ones in French Connection, Modern Rugs and La Redoute. Oh - and Erica Davis one for QVC is something rather special. Or maybe I wait until we can all fly again and head back to Morocco and go shopping over there (a girl can dream).

I’m feeling pretty high right now 🙌🏻 I did my back in the weekend doing things garden, then it felt better as it popped again when bent out to blow out a candle FFS. I’ve taken Valium and red wine to help with the pain which is super floaty! I’d rather that then in the intense pain Im in. And my sport massage lady is in isolation so I’m just going to have cope. I’m going to snuggle into this room into to tonight as the Lessa mattress is much better than the one in my main bedroom. Wish me luck in the morning! I might have to rollie-pollie out the bed. Oh well.

And I wonder why my dog is always covered in lipstick.... On a scale of 0ne to Ten how much do your love your pet? Although he doesn’t know this - Teddy is getting me through this 💩 and he makes me leave my house for the Sussex Downs once a day which is good for my busy 🧠 Expect a marriage proposal by the end of these three weeks 🐶 👰 💓 .

Flashback 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 to a time where loo roll wasn’t the main topic of conversation 🚽 🤪🤪🤪 I’m pleased there is lockdown TBH. I went to the garden centre today and it was like a old-people rave (don’t worry I stayed a good 10 meters from anyone - no one was hurt. I just had to get some dog food!) On my Stories, I’m chatting about the impact social distancing and isolation on my dating life (tap to hear but ONLY if you want some light relief). With the lack of loo roll going round it’s probably a good idea us singles are kept apart for our own health and safety 🙈 Oh, I’m watching re-runs for Only Fools And Horses and realised my last squeeze looked and sounded like Trigger (locking me up is for my own good 🤨)
We will get through this, don’t ask me how >>🍷 🍷 🍷 <<< But we will!! I promise you, we’ll all be better people for all this too. I’m sending you 💓 and ✌🏻 to you and your family 😻 Love you x .

It was my dream to work on magazines even. At 19, I got my first break with work experience at MORE magazine - hunting down hot hunky bar men to photograph 🔥🔥🔥My first proper magazine job was on Period Living and I bloody loved it (I preferred styling cushions to hot barmen). In a career spanning 23 years, I've been Dep Style Ed at House Beautiful, Style Ed of Home & contributing Interior Ed at Elle. As a freelancer, I've styled covers for most UK interiors title (that's my Good Homes one right there 👆🏻👆🏻🙌🏻). To show support in this tough time to this wonderful world of magazines and support all the excellent stylists and photographers who work on them ~ myself & Laurie have a plan!! 💡 And I need you to help please!! How about popping a homes mag in your next virtual shopping basket? Or buying one for a neighbour as a comfort during isolation? Why treat yourself to a homes mag you’ve never tried before?
