I travelled three days by land and sea to see flam

I travelled three days by land and sea to see flamingos in the wild. From the most northern tip of Colombia 🇨🇴, I caught a boat to a tiny island owned by the local tribe. They let about 50 tourists a year as there were some issues with passing drug traders 😐😐😐 I slept in a hammock in the cold and then got a sand buggy in the daylight hours to the shallow shores to watch these birds eating their breakfast in peace. I did this all with no Spanish (I was on a two month trip around Colombia solo). It ranks as one of my travel highlights. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve lost my travelling mojo. I used to go away for two months of the year to some seriously wild places all on my own (Mymar. Brazil, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Peru, Chili, Lombok, Laos. Cambodia. Sumatra. Philippines. Argentina. Bolivia...to name a few). All my money went on big trips. But since the house and the dog, I’ve been a little more settled / dull 😂🐶 🏡 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Flamingos will@always remind me of dust, danger, adventure and peace ✌🏻 🗺 🦩 I think I might dream about them tonight 😴 😴 😴

Phew! We made it through Monday 🙌🏻👌🏻✌🏻What a beautiful day as well 🌞 🌞 🌞 I went to Asda (my spiritual home) and then to Travis Perkins to pick up my new yard broom and pan & brush, I swung by the recycling point on the way back, and then I wrote a blog post on Eco-friendly Home Improvements. It’s a shame that I decided this morning to give up alcohol for a week. ‘Cos right now I feel I need to celebrate Monday being over with a LARGE GLASS OF VINO 🍷 🍷 🍷 How was your day? I doubt it was as exciting as mine 😹😹😹

Happy Sunday, my darling. How was your day? 😻💓🍄🌼😉 My morning was spent filming corners of my home. Why? I was on the Evening Standard Homes & Property account doing a mini home tour to celebrate the launch of the video series I’m hosting as part of @secretstylingclub 🤗🤗🤗 I did a mini home tour of my own house ~ including the living room, kitchen and garden ~ sharing my DIY tips and styling tricks. I’d love to know what you think 🤔

Wow, just wow! 😮 😮 😮 Totally blown away by all your lovely comments and messages for our new House Tours series with @eshomesproperty that went live on Friday. 🏡 🏡 🏡 THANK YOU! And a big hello to all you new followers 👋 👋 👋 Myself and Laurie were so thrilled to be asked to host the tours and despite lockdown and the technology rollercoaster of filming via Zoom (its been interesting!), 👩‍💻 👩‍💻👩‍💻 we think the ESHP team have done an amazing job and we’re excited for you to see all the fab homes we have lined up. 😜😜😜 I’ve been asked what the criteria is for appearing in one, and the answer is simply to have a unique and beautiful home that’s full of personality. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻We’ll be peeping in some large pads, some small, some full of colour, others boasting beautiful period details or bursting with really clever ideas. 💚💚💚You’ll see some influencers that you already know - and others that you don’t. I'd like you to say HELLO to the new love of my life! I've lusted after this lush emerald green velvet chair from Dunelm for, like, ever...
It's totally elevated my living room, picking out the greens in my rug and fireplace. It's squishy and cosy to sit on (when the dog actually lets me) and soft-to-the-touch.
I can't stop stroking it and re-styling it with cushions. Counting up how many chair I currently own, I'm on 12 (in a 2-bed terrace house) which is odd as I very rarely sit down.
